🌿The Power of Sound and Stillness

How Silence, Breath, and Presence Create Meaning in Music

1. The Beauty in Silence

In a world full of noise, silence is not emptiness — it is love.
To me, silence is peace. It’s a deep trust in life itself. A space where we don’t need to speak to feel connection. There’s a quiet fullness there — a kind of love that doesn’t need explanation.

2. Ma (間) — The Freedom Between Sounds

The Japanese concept of ma — the space between — feels like freedom to me.
It’s a moment to breathe, to open, to expand.
Because it's in the emptiness that infinite possibilities are held. That’s the joy of simply being — without pressure, without rush. It’s where the soul stretches out its wings.

3. Stillness Speaks Through Sound

Stillness is where we hear life most clearly. The sound of breath, the heartbeat, a bird’s call, the whisper of leaves, waves, or fur brushing against earth — these soft voices remind us: we are alive, together.

They say: “You are enough. Just as you are.”
Being still doesn’t mean stopping — it means being present. Being held by the world.

4. How I Place a Note

When I sing or compose, I don’t try to impress or overthink.
I just listen inwardly and let the sound flow out naturally. Sometimes I repeat a note. Sometimes I reach for something new, just to see where it might take me.

It’s not planned — it’s honest.
A flash of inspiration, a little accident, or a quiet nudge from within — every sound has its meaning, and every moment is a miracle. That’s how I place a note.

5. The Songs That Simply Needed to Be Sung

Sometimes a song begins with nothing more than a feeling while riding my bicycle by the river, or a gentle phrase I whisper to myself on a lonely night. (Japanese music, songwriting process)

I write what I need to hear.
I sing what I want to feel.
Each song is a way of saying:

“This is how the world looks to me. Do you feel it too?”

6. A Quiet Sound for the Heart

You can hear this energy in songs like:

  • Tadottemiruto(If I trace the origin))
A gentle, story-like ballad that feels like a picture book.
Sung with piano, it invites you to reflect on the quiet thread of life that connects us all. A song of calm and connection.

7. Closing

Thank you for listening — not only to the sound,
but to the stillness between.

I hope that through this music,
you’ll find a quiet space in yourself
where you feel free, gentle, and deeply alive.
